So you’re a fan of Facebook or Twitter, but you can’t access the browser from work or your cellphone. Well now you can use free services like TheFriendMail and Tweetymail using your email.Facebook and Twitter already offer a few email and SMS features built-in, but if you really want to be able to make the best of their networks via email, TheFriendMail and Tweetymail are great replacements. And they’re easy to use, also: simply sign in with your Facebook or Twitter accounts and start sending emails.
TheFriendMail Although, this means that you’d have to provide TheFriendMail with a few permissions to your Facebook account, which we know some people aren’t comfortable with. So there’s the low permissions version option that you can choose that lets you update your status, request your news feeds, and get notifications only. If you choose later that you would like to use the higher permissions then you can always go back and choose that permission version. Right now, TheFriendMail is in beta and is also completely free.
TweetyMail TweetyMail is also a free service, but it also has a paid option that gives you more features, like directly replying or retweeting posts you view from your email. Indeed, you can always just stick with the free version and manually “@” mention people to reply or use the old “RT @” format for retweets.
