What do I Post on My Business Fan Page?
01.Videos –This video can be anything really, does not have to be a video you created or own! It could be a demo video of your product from YouTube or the vast array of Free Video sites, a music video you like, a funny video that's part of your industry but video reaches people that words do not do sometimes. If you have captured your own videos that's even better; either way, breakup the monotony status updates with an odd video to keep things unique and interesting. 02.Links to other sites –Yes, this may seem out of the context as you are going against the grain. however showing users that you're not just in it for you. Though you may have started a fan page to promote YOUR business people will soon start to fade if your page is nothing more than a list of likes to your website. Post links to other websites - interesting articles relating to your industry, blogs relating to your industry, funny stories, news worthy items. If some these sites belong to your fans too this will create loyalty. 03.Questions –Status updates! Rather than constantly posting what you're doing right now or did, ask them a question. Asking a question will provide massive response. Let fans/likes fell involved - Ask them a question related to your business or industry. 04.Photos, Pictures or Art - photographs are a great way to break up monotonous words, or status updates of a fan/like page, photos provide color to your fan/like page. initially you can post pictures of your workplace, premises, customers, products or services, diagrams, cartoons related to you business or industry. 05.Thank you's to your fans or special fan - Remember fans make or break your fan page. Thank You's go a long way, first they show your appreciation and secondly acknowledging you care about comments or suggestions. Take a couple of minutes each week to post a public thank you to them. This can be done by posting a status update and referencing fans/fan by prefacing their names with an '@' symbol. Additionally offering prizes or giveaways to a couple of fans per month, given to those who interact with the fan page wall or discussion wall. 06.Links to your blog – If you use Blog(s), you can do this automatically, but even if you don’t, when you post a new blog, link to it from your Fan page – encourage comments and contributions. 07.Requests for more fans – ask your fans to use the ’share’ button or the ’suggest to friends’ link to share your page’s details with their friends on Facebook. It may not have occurred to them to do so, and if you don’t ask, you don’t get! 08.Events - use the events tab to post details of time sensitive special offers, open days, launch days and more. It’s an often forgotten tab but can be very useful if you think about it outside the box. 09.Links to discussions on your discussion forums – if your forum on your page isn’t getting the responses you want, it may be that people just aren’t noticing it! Post links to interesting discussions on your Fan Page wall, and ask them to comment or join the discussion. 10.Notes – the notes tab can be used for lots of different things; mini blog posts, testimonials, quotes, thoughts – anything that is too big to be put as a status update. It’s another way to add extra interest to your fan page So there you have it – a quick and dirty list of ways to keep your Facebook Fan Page interesting. Without interaction and interest, a page quickly becomes nothing more than a list of links, with no intrinsic value whatsoever. Don’t let your Fan page fade away!
